Creating an authentic souk within a shopping centre was a challenging project. Architectural research was undertaken to ensure that the buildings where true their origin, and along with the characters, props and artefacts required approval by the local government to ensure the authenticity.
The Arabic market was bespokely designed and included animated market trader characters, animatronic Arab characters telling the story of the 5 pillars of Islam, animated camels and donkeys.
The scene was part of a multi sighted shopping centre display and was originally designed and built in our West Yorkshire factory, then shipped to the shopping centre and erected overnight. The concept was such a success that we have supplied this to a various centres in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
